Sky Classroom

The Sky Classroom is an innovative Glanis program in which experts in the field of medicine from the United States will lecture to students at the Glanis campus on a regular basis. These experts are drawn from a wide cross-section of academic medical centers in the United States & Canada, including Harvard Medical School, University of Pittsburgh, University of Texas and McMaster University.

The lectures and interaction between students and expert faculty will be facilitated by state-of-the-art video conferencing technology. Such interaction allows students to be exposed to the latest advances in the field of Medicine and the opportunity to listen to renowned scholars from overseas without the students having to travel to these distant locations.

Special Fibre Optic Technology is made available at the GLANIS campus to enable uninterrupted video streaming of lectures from academic centers in the United States & Canada for the Sky Classroom program. These interactive sessions are held in the Ida Scudder Seminar Hall and scheduled three times a week – Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
